The artist has been exhibiting since 1995 after he moved to Kyiv. He worked and exhibited in Argentina in 1999-2001. Since 2011 the artist has been working and living in New York. Vlad Datko is known for his realistic and hyper-realistic paintings. He is an excellent portrait painter. Presented works have been inspired by Wayne Thiebaud’s ‘cakes.’ Yet Vlad is bringing about a ‘conceptual cake’ that has been conceived and freshly baked in Brooklyn, New York – “Vuala!”
